The Harvest Festival is almost here!!! Saturday, November 4 at Light on the Hill at Mount Wesley! We have several opportunities for you to help… 1.) greeting and welcoming our community, 2.) encouraging and cheering on children as they play games, 3.) providing hospitality in our dining hall serving food and drinks, and 4.) encouraging and pointing the way for the walkers and runners for the trail fun run/walk. Dear Friends, Our local Emmaus Community will be hosting a Men's Walk to Emmaus this weekend, October 19-22, 2023 at Light on the Hill at Mount Wesley. This special weekend is designed to help Christian disciples grow in knowledge and experience of God's grace and love. If you are in the Emmaus Community we encourage you to support the Walk throughout the weekend with your prayers and when appropriate, your presence. For all of us, we encourage you to hold these folks in your prayers throughout this experience.  FOOD 4 KIDS SERVANT TEAM IS AWESOME! Kerrville First United Methodist Church’s Food4Kids program provides food on the weekends for children experiencing food insecurity from our neighboring school, Nimitz Elementary. Other churches in our community have also adopted local schools in our county to be a blessing! KFUMC is currently helping 68 students and their families who do not have enough nutritious food to sustain them throughout the weekends. Many families depend on breakfast and lunch for their children at school and when school is not in session, like on weekends, it provides a hardship for the family. Our awesome unpaid servants help with the shopping, packing, delivering and distributing of the food to make this program possible. Food4Kids is a food relief ministry connected with our Mustard Seed Pantry. Thank you for supporting Food4Kids! Mobile Mustard Seed Shares Food Out In Our Community! KFUMC and Light on the Hill, among others, were recognized for Back-to-school Efforts in our community with the Kerrville Kindness Award by city council!  Harvest Festival this Fall!  |
