 Encouragement from Jane Davis... I am praying for you this morning… Do you ever wonder how much you can take? You think progress is being made, your hope is in high gear, and then… BAM! It all seems to be tumbling down, again. As I listened to our pastor talk about how just a week or so ago our area was thanking God for carrying us through the July 4, 2025 flood, and the progress being made…and then this week… It all came flooding down. Devastating. Did something in your own life come flooding down recently?? What do we do? I asked God that question in church yesterday. In His calming, steady, assuring voice He whispered… “Get out your ‘God’s Faithfulness’ list, Jane. I’ve never failed you yet, so why do you think I’ll start now?” The List. Page-after-page of God intervening in life’s most challenging situations, and carrying us through…stronger and better than before. I didn’t know if The List should be called “God’s Faithfulness” or “My Gratitude” list… and then I realized it should be both. God is faithful, and I am grateful. How about you? Pull out your list. If you don’t have one, start one. Date each entry. God is faithful, and I am grateful. “He lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. He stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip. He taught me how to sing the latest God-song. A praise song to our God.” Psalm 40:2 Thank You Unpaid Servants!   So grateful to Troy and Tina Box for donating their carport at Light on the Hill and for our Volunteers In Mission Team Members, Brad, Ray, Rusty and Sangrid for building sides and doors to the carport! This will give us a storage shed for storing our KFUMC Disaster Trailer along with tools, ladders and other supplies. We need help with special events and retreats throughout the year. You would be doing things like serving food or washing dishes. It's a lot of fun and a great way to share the love of Christ! Do you love to cook or bake? We have a wonderful team of unpaid servants that would love for you to join them. We have a great time together as we serve! |
