I’m sure you have heard by now of the outpouring at Asbury University over the last two weeks. What started as a few students staying after a worship service to continue to pray grew into an awakening that saw thousands travel to Kentucky to be a part of it! No bright lights, no famous Christian musicians or renowned speakers. Just simply, praying to God for a new awakening of His people and His Spirit to pour out over all creation. So simple, yet so powerful.
- Beth Cooper Smithson, a fourth grade student at Starkey Elementary, gifted Starkey Sausage Supper tickets to more than 70 families at Mustard Seed Food Pantry! Cooper’s generosity brought lots of smiles of joy and gratitude! Thank you to everyone who donated tickets to allow Cooper to bless so many! On Wednesdays and Thursdays at Mustard Seed Food Pantry, many unpaid servants give their love and time behind the scenes bagging non-perishables for Monday morning sharing with our community. Thankful for these servant hearts!
So blessed by unpaid servants who love our neighbors so much that they volunteered their time in frigid weather to share the love of Christ and some nutritious food at the San Antonio Food Bank’s Mega Food Pantry on Monday! These folks come from all over our community… City of Kerrville and KPUB employees, Tivy High School students, Doyle Community Center, Church of Christ, St.Paul’s, Barnett Chapel, Mount Olive, and KFUMC, MHM Wesley nurses, Kerrville Fire Department and KFUMC pickleball players! Thank you to everyone who has given to the “Pool Project”” at Light on the Hill! The pool renovations have begun thanks to all of the incredible support! And we are so close to all of the funding needed. If you would like to help us get all of the way to the finish line, donations are still being accepted. You can give by check, just put in the memo “pool” or online, just make sure and put “pool” in the comments. Thank you!!! Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a real difference! See the progress so far…
