Thank you for your service and your sacrifice! Donations NeededMega Food Drive - NovemberWe’re grateful to be featured in a recent article highlighting the partnership between Light on the Hill and the San Antonio Food Bank, where nearly 36,000 pounds of food were distributed to families across the Hill Country. We praise God for the hands and hearts in our ministry who continue to serve others with love and compassion. Emergency Response Volunteers are Blessing Flood Survivors!Last Saturday volunteers from KFUMC, St John Lutheran Church in Boerne, and Firth Lutheran Church in Floresville worked together to correct drainage problems at a house that flooded on July 4th. The St John’s Lutheran Church (Boerne) volunteers have been working with KFUMC’s Emergency Response Team regularly for six weeks, and last weekend they brought supplies for our ERT trailer! Thank you so much to the St John’s congregation for the tool belts, batteries, battery chargers, step ladder, and personal protection supplies. We are so blessed to have the chance to meet and work with these servants! Winter Drive 2025Donate warm clothes to help a neighbor this winter. Back to School Bash, Loading...Back to School Bash is this Saturday, August 3rd!! Clean out your closets and bring the gently used clothes and shoes that your kids have outgrown to the worship center porch at Light on the Hill so we can share with others.
We have lots of opportunities to volunteer! Contact Beth Palmer if you are interested in helping with this event. I was privileged to attend the Rio Texas Annual Conference last week in Corpus Christi, Texas. I had the honor of sharing about the good works that have been done by so many of you at Light on the Hill at Mount Wesley. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate how God continues to use this treasured place to share the love of Christ with so many! Thank you for your continued support! Our Back to School Bash will be Saturday, August 3 at Light on the Hill! If you have gently used clothes that your child has outgrown, we would love for you to consider sharing them.
From Jane Davis… I am praying for you this morning… As I sit in silence, listening for God’s reassuring words, this song bird just keeps chirping his little song. Over and over…it’s like he wants my attention, and sometimes I get so used to his song that I don’t notice. But he’s still there…singing. Do you ever feel like God keeps saying the same thing to you… Over and over? “Trust Me. I’ve got you. I love you. Follow Me. Listen. Give your challenges to Me. Be at peace…I have overcome the world. I will never leave you. I go before you…beside you…behind you. Trust Me.” Over and over, He softly speaks, but … Do we listen? Believe Him? Lay it all before Him? “God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.” Deuteronomy 31:8 (The Message) Forge Youth in BudaVBS at KFUMCVBS at Camp Wesley/LOTHMovie Night at KFUMCForge Youth at GarnerOur Back to School Bash will be Saturday, August 3 at Light on the Hill!
