A recap on our Monday, Mega Food event at Light on the Hill. We are proud to serve the hill country community and support our neighbors. Our Community Partners to Share Food from San Antonio Food Bank at Mega at Light on the Hill at Mount Wesley! This week our programming staff will be attending a conference.
This a time of learning and connecting with others. It is also a time to be still and just “be.” This week, I am looking forward to this time to just “be” with my creator… to sit in His presence with no deadlines or agendas. Thank you to our leadership at KFUMC for giving me the chance to learn and grow in my relationship with God. I also always treasure the moments that I can just sit and take in all of the beauty that God has created in nature. I hope that you can make time this week also to just “be.” Enjoy nature. Enjoy the small things. Sit with God and just breathe in and out. God is so good. Blessings, Beth Habitat for Humanity’s Mary and Bailey at Mustard Seed. From our friend, Jane Davis…
I am praying for you this morning… Thanks to our daughter, daughter-in-law and grandkids, I’ve learned to love puzzles. Life is often like a puzzle…right?! You have a box of hundreds of colorful pieces. You pour them out…flip them over…and oh my! You don’t know how or where to start. You sort. You look at the finished picture on the box and think, “how in the world will I put all of this together?” YOU won’t. But GOD WILL. We all have choices to make…decisions to be made… But sometimes the parts of our lives seem so jumbled, broken, confusing and disjointed that we can’t focus on the the big picture…the completed project…the direction we should go. This is where God steps in. If we let Him. We all need to ask the Master Planner, our Creator to put the pieces into place. Little-by-little the colors will get sorted. The edges will start fitting together. Your answer will more and more visible. God’s got this! Trust Him. “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” Isaiah 30:21 Mustard Seed Ministries Mustard Seed Ministries at Light on the Hill is about neighbors helping neighbors. At Light on the Hill, we pray that loving others and sharing Jesus and the hope that He brings to life, would be such a natural part of who we are and how we live that we don’t call it ‘outreach’ or ‘mission’ but simply ‘living’ in community. We desire to have long-term relationships with our neighbors so that we can truly call each other ‘friend.’
